Ontario Arts Council - Northern Project Grant Application 3rd Try
April 18, 2025 is the day I submitted my third try for an Ontario Arts Council, Northern Ontario Project Grant for my album, "Come in the Kitchen". I felt I could not do anymore than I had already done and decided it was time to submit my grant. It will be a long 4 months as I wait for the results, however, I have many musical projects in the funnel to fill the time until I hear the results.
To my many musical supporters, thank you for being there for me as an audience member at my events and online. Without you, I would still be playing to myself.
To my musician friends who are always rallying behind me to continue on my journey and sit with me while I try to figure out how to master some of these instruments or a pedal I am determined to learn to play or use, thank you for your patience and guidance.
To my family and friends who have been there in some of my darkest and brightest times. You have never given up on me and understand the absence of my presence at things, so I can go do my music. It is a big ask when I put my music ahead of you because I need to do this at this time in my life, before I run out of time and my dream fades.
Last, but certainly not least, to the places hiring me as a performer, thank you for allowing me to entertain your clients at your venue. I am never quite sure who gets more out of a performance, the artist or the audience. Not really sure it matters, as long as we get something out of music that moves us to another plain of existence where we FEEL.
